Two photos taken in different light are not a before/after. They are a picture of two different lights. If you are starting today, use the Same-Light Check to pick one spot first — that five minutes is worth more than anything this tool can do for you afterwards.
How to use it
- Load your oldest photo on the left and your newest on the right.
- Drag each eye line slider until the eyes sit at the same height in both panels. This is the step that matters; everything else is decoration.
- Use zoom if one photo was taken closer than the other. Getting the face to the same size is the second half of a fair comparison.
- Set the two day numbers to the real gap. Rounding 24 days up to "a month" is how a progress photo becomes a marketing photo.
- Turn on hide above the eyes or blur the edges if you are going to post it publicly and would rather not be recognisable.
- Download. The file is on your device; nothing was sent.

Are my photos uploaded?
No. The whole tool is one JavaScript file and a canvas. Your images are read from disk into this tab, drawn, and thrown away when you close it. Check the Network tab while you use it: making a card adds nothing to the list. Or just turn your Wi-Fi off — it works exactly the same.
On first load you will see this tool’s script (served from this domain) and an analytics beacon our host injects into every page, which we did not add and are trying to remove. Neither one can see your images: there is no code here that sends a photo anywhere. Details on the privacy page.
Why does it ask me to align the eyes?
Because a side-by-side where the faces sit at different heights reads as two unrelated photos, and your eye does the comparing badly. Lining up one fixed feature — the eye line is the easiest to see — is what turns two photos into a comparison.
What does "blur the edges" actually blur?
Everything outside an oval in the middle of each panel. It is not face detection and it does not know what a face is — it is a fixed oval, which is enough to take your kitchen out of the picture. Check the preview before you post anything.
Can I use it for something other than skin?
Yes. It is a general before/after maker. The defaults (feed and story sizes, day labels, eye-line alignment) are set up for face photos, but nothing stops you pointing it at a garden or a room.
Is there a watermark, and can I remove it?
There is a small skinlately.com in the corner and a line saying cosmetic wellness only. There is no paid tier that removes it, because there is no paid tier — this tool has no account and no upsell. If the badge is a problem for what you are making, crop it; we are not going to pretend that is hard.
What makes a before/after honest?
Same light, same distance, same expression, no filter and no makeup on either day, and real dates. If any one of those changed, the photo is showing you that change and not your skin. This is also why we will not publish anyone else’s before/afters as marketing.
